Bioplastic / Biodegradeable PLA Cups - ideal for SmoothiesOur range of PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) cups and lids are made from cornstarch, a natural renewable resource. The quality and clarity is as good as PET but it degrades naturally in as little as 50 days. They are ideal for Smoothies and can take either a flat "X" or "domed" lid. All sizes take the same domed lid, and the three larger cup sizes all take the same X lid, reducing the required stock holding
The Corn Resin used for all Ushake bio degradeable cups, lids and straws is made is made by isolating the starch stored in the corn kernels and converting it into sugars. During a process of fermentation and separation the sugars become lactic acid, which is used to create the plastic called polylactide. Corn Resin requires about 20% to 30% less energy to produce and contributes only half the carbon dioxide than plastics made from petrochemicals. PLA is compostable and biodegradable in industrial composting conditions, but

Hot Drink Paper Cups - ideal for Hot Shakes and CoffeeOur double wall cups are available in 3 sizes.
The double wall on these cups give a high insulation against hot liquids which means there is no need to use a sleeve. These cups are ideal for hot shakes and drinks such as tea, coffee, hot chocolates and lattes.
The larger two sizes take the same sip lids, reducing the required stock holding. Both black and white lids are available.
